Abstract

Dietary habits and nutritional status at the population level are critical indicators of overall public health. Malnutrition, including both undernutrition and overnutrition, remains a global challenge, contributing to increased morbidity and mortality rates. This paper explores the dietary patterns observed globally, identifies major nutritional deficiencies, and evaluates strategic interventions aimed at improving nutritional outcomes. It synthesizes existing literature to provide an in-depth understanding of the factors influencing dietary choices and nutritional status, including socioeconomic, environmental, and cultural determinants. Evidence-based strategies, such as food fortification, dietary education, and policy measures, are discussed to enhance nutritional health at the population level. The findings emphasize the need for multi-sectoral approaches to address nutritional challenges effectively.
