Abstract

The management of perioperative care, particularly through anesthesia and multimodal pain management strategies, is critical for optimizing surgical outcomes. Anesthesia techniques, ranging from general to regional methods, and the use of multimodal analgesia are essential for effective pain control, minimizing complications, and enhancing recovery. This paper examines the efficacy of different anesthesia modalities and pain management strategies, highlighting how these approaches impact surgical outcomes across diverse patient populations. A review of the literature demonstrates the evolving trends in pain management and anesthesia, with a focus on minimizing opioid use and incorporating non-pharmacologic interventions. The study also identifies areas for improvement in personalized anesthesia planning to achieve optimal outcomes.
